Goodbye HMS Bounty
Here HMS Bounty is firing her goodbye salute to Savannah in May 2012. Her loss and the sad loss of lives leaves a great void in the proud ranks of tall ships.
A gathering of tall ships is not a very common sight, but early in May 2012 Savannah hosted the Tall Ship Challenge and it was a glorious time. Some thirteen tall ships were in port. Visitors could inspect them and visit on them. Some even provided harbor tours.
